Mr. Merritt's experience and education include: (i) Systems Engineering Marketing Management with International Business Machines (IBM), (ii) Attorney with a large international law firm (Piper & Marbury now DLA Piper), (iii) General Counsel and Director of Worldwide Legal Affairs for an international consulting company with locations in Europe, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada, and the United States, (iv) Senior Counsel with a top five international insurance company, and (v) Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, MBA in Finance, and BBA in Accounting, cum laude. Mr. Merritt is a past Chair of the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section of the Florida Bar. Mr. Merritt is a member of the American Bar Association. Appellate Cases Include: Hyundai Motor America, Inc. v. Hawley, Consolidated Case Numbers: Nos. 02-16312 & 02-17512, (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, 2003); and Hawk v. Black, (Fla. 2nd DCA, 2008).
